The Islamabad High Court has scheduled for Thursday (tomorrow) the appeals filed by PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi against their convictions in the £190 million corruption reference.

According to a supplementary cause list issued by the registrar’s office, a division bench headed by Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif will hear the appeals challenging convictions handed down under provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code, with sentences exceeding seven years.

The cause list also noted that several miscellaneous applications — including pleas seeking suspension of sentences along with related objections — are pending before the court.

The listing comes a day after the same bench, while hearing separate petitions seeking suspension of sentence in the case, outlined a timeline for concluding arguments in the main appeals.

Earlier this month, Chief Justice Dogar had remarked that once arguments begin, the court could decide the matter within a week.
