Imran furious over The Economist story about Bushra Bibi, mulls legal action: report

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan is aware of The Economist’s report, which discusses the alleged influence of his wife, Bushra Bibi, on government decisions during his time in office.

A report in an English newspaper said that Khan learned about the article through television access provided by the prison administration and expressed surprise over its claims.

The report added that the former prime minister reacted strongly after watching the report and appeared angry.

Khan is said to have indicated that he would request the jail authorities to arrange a meeting with her so he could discuss before taking any action.

The report said that Khan signaled his intention to ask his legal team to pursue action against the magazine. His lawyers are scheduled to meet him next week as per jail procedures.
