Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has alleged that his wife, Bushra Bibi, was pressured to separate from him but continues to stand by his side.

On Tuesday, the former prime minister's sisters were permitted to visit him in Adiala jail. Afterward, a detailed message he had sent from prison was shared on his X account.

In a strong criticism of the establishment, Khan said that former minister Faisal Vawda claimed Bushra Bibi would divorce him, but she never yielded to such pressure.

He further alleged that Bushra Bibi has been kept in isolation for the past eight months, adding, “Women have never been treated like this in Pakistan’s history. Even Yahya Khan did not do this.”

Khan also accused authorities of physically mistreating his wife, claiming she was electrocuted, injured, and forced to drink contaminated water.

Speaking about his family, Imran Khan said that his non-political relatives were being targeted, citing the arrests of his nephews and Aleema Khan’s sons. He claimed his two nephews, Sharez Khan and Sher Shah, were kidnapped despite having no political involvement.

He added that Sharez, a promising athlete, was also taken into custody.

The PTI founder said he himself remains in “complete solitary confinement,” having been allowed only three visits in three months, while his lawyers and family members are frequently denied access.

He maintained that such restrictions are part of attempts to pressure him further.
