Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has prohibited party leader Sher Afzal Marwat from serving as his defense attorney.

Reports indicate that Imran Khan has communicated to both the prison authorities and the court that Sher Afzal Marwat does not represent him legally and has instructed the prison administration to deny him access to the facility.

Additionally, PTI is said to have prepared a formal statement regarding the involvement of Sher Afzal Marwat.

Marwat attempted to visit Imran Khan at Adiala Jail; however, upon reaching Gate 5 and proceeding towards the entrance, he was turned away. The jail authorities had informed Imran Khan of Marwat's arrival.

In another development, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has facilitated a ceasefire between PTI Secretary-General Salman Akram Raja and Member of National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat.

According to sources within PTI, a conflict had arisen between Salman Akram Raja and Sher Afzal Marwat, prompting Chief Minister Gandapur to intervene.

He encouraged both leaders to exercise patience and cautioned that public statements against one another would be detrimental to the party.

Ali Amin Gandapur stressed that such remarks would only serve to benefit the opposition, while Sher Afzal Marwat also conveyed his concerns to the Chief Minister.

In a related matter, Sher Afzal Marwat acknowledged the Chief Minister’s involvement and noted that Ali Amin Gandapur had reached out to him recently, recommending a cessation of hostilities between the two leaders.
