Former Prime Minister Imran Khan criticised the promotion of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir to the rank of Field Marshal following the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, launched in retaliation against India.
Khan's official X account shared details of his recent conversations with family members, party leaders, and journalists during their visit to Adiala Jail.
Addressing circulating rumors, the PTI founder categorically denied any backdoor negotiations. “The rumours about a deal with me are all lies. No deal has been made, nor are there any talks underway,” he clarified.
He also strongly condemned a recent drone strike in the Mir Ali tehsil of North Waziristan, where four innocent children were killed, calling it a tragic and unacceptable act of violence.
Khan urged the establishment to engage in meaningful dialogue if they genuinely care about the country's future. “If you are concerned about Pakistan, then come forward and talk. The country must unite to address external threats, rising terrorism, and economic collapse,” he said.
He lamented the prevailing state of injustice in the country, stating, “In Pakistan today, the law only applies to the weak, not the powerful. That is the biggest flaw in the system.”

“When people are given the message that the bigger the thief, the higher the office he will hold, then justice is already dead,” he added.
Khan alleged that NAB has a case against Asif Zardari's sister involving five apartments registered under employees' names. “She is abroad, and no one is questioning her,” he said.
He also pointed to a money laundering case of Rs 22 billion against Shahbaz Sharif, stating that despite this, he was made the Prime Minister.
“In the last three years, Pakistan’s moral values and constitutional framework have been completely destroyed,” he said.
Calling the Toshakhana II case trial “ridiculous,” Khan complained that his family and siblings are not being allowed to meet him.
He also expressed frustration that he has not been provided with his books, is denied access to his physician, and has not spoken to his sons in months, calling it a clear violation of court orders.
