The administration of Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi has issued a clarification about provision of facilities to PTI founder Imran Khan following a press conference by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders.

According to the jail authorities, Imran Khan is being provided with all the facilities as per the law for a B-class prisoner.

Special attention is given to his food, health, reading, and exercise. He is also receiving an uninterrupted electricity supply.

The administration stated that a prison cook has been assigned to prepare his meals.

For breakfast, Khan is given coffee, chia seeds, beetroot juice, yogurt, biscuits, and dates. His lunch consists of curry pakora, organic chicken, yogurt, chapati, soft drinks, salad, green tea, and mutton.

For dinner, he receives porridge, coconut water, and grapes.

The jail officials mentioned that doctors examine Imran Khan three times a day, confirming that he is in good health.

Two days ago, doctors from PIMS (Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences) also conducted a medical check-up, and they reported him to be in good health.

Additionally, the jail authorities stated that Imran Khan receives daily newspapers and exercises for two hours each day. They denied the claims being spread about his well-being.

Earlier, after meeting with Imran Khan, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar had claimed that while Khan's health was fine and he was in high spirits, there had been no electricity in his cell for five days, and he had been unable to exercise.

He also stated that Khan had not received a newspaper for two weeks and was unaware of the progress on constitutional amendments.

He further mentioned that Imran Khan had expressed sorrow over the arrest of his sisters.
