India carried out an attack on Sheikh Zayed International Airport in Rahim Yar Khan in the early hours of Saturday, damaging the facility in what Pakistani officials have described as a “cowardly attack.”
Prior to this strike, there was a reprehensible attempt to attack Nankana Sahib, a highly revered Sikh religious site. Pakistan strongly condemned this act, labeling it shameful and indicative of India's escalating war hysteria.
Notably, in response to continuous Indian aggression, Pakistan launched a wide-scale retaliatory operation, Bunyan ul Mursoos.
According to security sources, multiple high-value Indian military targets were struck, including brigade headquarters at G Top and the supply depot in Uri.
A military spokesperson said all enemy bases involved in attacks on Pakistani civilians and mosques were systematically targeted, and more strategic locations are in the crosshairs.
Pakistan’s political and military leadership issued a stern warning to India, stating that any further aggression will provoke a devastating response.
It added that if India continues its hostilities, not only military but also economic targets will be hit, and the consequences will be serious and far-reaching.
The rapidly intensifying conflict has drawn concern from international observers, who are urging both nuclear-armed neighbours to exercise restraint and return to dialogue.
Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and a longstanding symbol of friendship between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, suffered structural damage. Authorities have not yet confirmed any casualties, but the attack has been widely condemned as a blatant provocation.
