Interest in Pakistan’s defence exports has grown after JF-17 fighter jets were used during a brief conflict with India, drawing attention from several foreign militaries.

Indonesia is in advanced talks with Pakistan for around 40 JF-17 Thunder jets, Shahpar armed drones, air defence systems, and training for air force personnel.

Pakistan has already secured a defence deal with Azerbaijan, with JF-17 fighter jets forming a key part of military cooperation between the two countries.

A $4 billion weapons agreement has been reached with Libya’s National Army, while Pakistan is also negotiating a defence deal worth up to $4 billion with Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan is discussing a defence partnership with Bangladesh that may include JF-17 fighter jets and Super Mushshak training aircraft as bilateral ties improve.
