International community urges Pakistan, India to exercise restraint, engage in dialogue

Expressing concern over regional security, the international community has advised Pakistan and India to exercise maximum restraint and return to negotiations to resolve the issue through dialogue.
China has expressed concern over the current situation in the region, especially after Pakistan’s retaliatory action, under the Operation “Bunyan ul Marsoos.”
The Foreign Ministry of China stated that it is closely monitoring the current situation in the region.
Beijing emphasised that Pakistan and India should return to a political solution to the conflict and resolve the issues through dialogue.
It added that Pakistan and India should exercise restraint in the larger interest of peace and stability in the region.
Pakistan’s friendly neighbour appealed for both countries to refrain from any actions that would further increase tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.

On the other hand, the US State Department stated that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had a telephone conversation with Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, during which the US Secretary of State offered cooperation to reduce tensions between Pakistan and India.
Marco Rubio offered constructive support from the US to avoid future conflicts.
Pakistan launched ‘Operation Bunyan Marsus’ against India, targeting multiple sites in India. Twelve targets have been destroyed, including the Udhampur Air Base, Pathankot, Sirsa, Suratgarh Airfields, the Brahmos storage site, the Indian Brigade Headquarters at KG Top, and the supply depot in Uri. Many more targets are also on the radar.
