Italy offers over 10,000 jobs to Pakistani workers

Italy has promised more than 10,000 jobs to the workers of Pakistan over the period of the next three years. Italy has reserved a certain number of jobs for Pakistan through an agreement reached between the two countries.

Up to 10,500 Pakistani workers can be given jobs belonging to different fields such as ship breaking, hoteling, health, and agriculture, as well as welding, technicians, chefs, waiters, housekeeping, nursing, medical technicians, and farming.

Skilled and semi-skilled job seekers will travel to Italy to offer their services to the two sectors. Every year, 3,500 Pakistani nationals will get international jobs based on the seasonal and non-seasonal quotas.

These include 1,500 Pakistanis under the seasonal quota, as well as 2,000 under the non-seasonal quota every year. Italy is the first European nation as a whole to assign work quotas for Pakistan.

The second session of the Joint Working Group of Pakistan and Italy will take place in Islamabad in February 2026.
