Justice Aminuddin Khan sworn in as inaugural Chief Justice of FCC

Justice Aminuddin Khan took oath on Friday as the first Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court, administered by President Asif Ali Zardari. The FCC was formed under the 27th Constitutional Amendment and will function as a court superior to the Supreme Court in constitutional cases.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, federal ministers, parliamentarians, and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were among those present.
Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, along with the heads of the Pakistan Navy and Air Force, also attended the event.
The Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chairman of the Senate, and the Attorney General were likewise in attendance.
Justice Aminuddin, in his new role, will oversee the oath taking of six additional judges appointed to the Federal Constitutional Court.
