The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced a rescheduling of the 2025 intermediate annual examinations.

Initially set to begin on April 28, the exams will now start from May 5, following the directives of the board chairman.

According to an official statement, the decision was made due to two major reasons. First, the board is currently awarding grace marks to candidates of the 2024 first-year exams in Science Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, and Science General groups, particularly in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, impacting exam preparations.

Second, several examination centres remain occupied with ongoing matriculation exams, which began on April 8 and will conclude by May 8.

To ensure smooth conduct and adequate centre availability, the board found it necessary to revise the schedule.

Students and institutions have been advised to continue preparations accordingly. Further updates will be available on BIEK’s website and official social media platforms.
