Karachi braves another hot day as 'feels like' temperature hits 50°C

The city witnessed another hot and humid day on Wednesday when the ‘feels like’ temperature reached 50 degrees Celsius in Karachi, according to a private weather station.

Weather analyst Jawad Memon, in a statement issued on his X handle, said the ‘feels like’ temperature is fluctuating between 49°C to 50°C in Clifton and Defence areas of the port city.

However, the mercury hit 36°C to 37°C in different areas of the metropolis, wherein, feels like temperature reached 40°C-43°C, he added.

Meteorological expert said that the scorching heat has intensified due to suspension of coastal winds.

The residents of Karachi are advised to strictly follow all precautionary measures and drink plenty of water during the heat-wave like situation.

A day earlier, the feels like temperature in the metropolitan reached 51°C, which left Karachiites swelter.
