A man in Karachi is making a desperate plea to reunite with his father, whom he has never met after his parents separated in 1995. The only clue Muhammad Arsalan possesses is his father’s handwritten CNIC dating back to the 1960s.

Arsalan said he wishes to meet his paternal family, from whom he has been cut off for nearly 30 years. According to his friend, who shared the details online, Arsalan is determined to reconnect with his father and seeks public help to trace him.

Arsalan’s father, Sheikh Aijaz ur Rahman son of Sheikh Abdur Rahman, originally belonged to Hyderabad, Deccan, and reportedly had a large family of five to six brothers and one sister. None of them have remained in touch with Arsalan.

With no solid leads, Arsalan only holds fragments of information that might help identify his family. He mentioned that one of his father’s brothers was an active member of the MQM, while his father himself stayed away from politics.

Aijaz ur Rahman had completed his MA in English and later worked at Adamjee Insurance Company.

Arsalan only possesses a few details of his father and the old CNIC, which Nadra has so far been unable to trace in its records. The CNIC lists an address in Karachi's Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Block 6.

Arsalan’s friend has appealed to the public to share the message widely, hoping it reaches someone who can help reunite the family after three decades of separation.
