Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab has said that the people of Karachi gave the Pakistan Peoples Party an opportunity, and the results are now visible across the city.

Speaking to the media, the mayor said that in the coming days, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s party would unveil a major development package for Karachi.

He added that both the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and the Sindh government were actively delivering on development projects, and called on town administrations to extend full cooperation.

He stressed that there would be no compromise on quality in development schemes, adding that construction work was being carried out in phases to minimise inconvenience to the public.

Murtaza Wahab further said that all major arteries of the city would be upgraded gradually.

He noted that the reconstruction of Jahangir Road would significantly improve traffic flow and public convenience, describing the project as part of Karachi’s broader development strategy.

Reiterating his stance, the mayor said that since the people of Karachi placed their trust in the PPP, the city was now witnessing round-the-clock development activity, with multiple stalled projects being revived.
