Karachi to enjoy light showers and pleasant weather today

Light rain in various parts of Karachi, including II Chundrigar Road, Saddar, and Garden, turned the weather pleasant in the early hours of Monday. Meteorological officials said drizzle and light showers are also expected today, particularly between 6 am and 5 pm, with strong sea winds keeping conditions comfortable.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has forecast intermittent rainfall in the upper regions of the country from today until September 19. Heavy downpours are likely in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, and Punjab.

In Sindh, most districts are expected to remain dry, though coastal areas may experience partly cloudy conditions. Similar partly cloudy weather has been predicted for much of Balochistan as well.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has also issued an alert regarding the potential risk of glacial lake outburst floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
