Karachi to receive drizzle, light rain today: PMD

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Tuesday said Karachi is likely to remain partly cloudy during the next 24 hours with chances of light rain and drizzle in the metropolis today and tomorrow (February 13 and 14).
According to the Met office, the powerful westerly system, which wreaked havoc in UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, is expected to reach Pakistan by tonight.
Under the system, Karachi, and parts of Balochistan including Jiwani, Gawadar, Ormara, Turbat, Panjgur, Bela, and Uthal, are expected to receive light rain during the next 24 hours, weather department said.
"Partly cloudy weather in [the] southern district of Balochistan with chances of rain-wind/thunderstorm at isolated places in coastal areas of Makran," the advisory added.
The minimum temperature in the port city was recorded at 17°C, whereas the maximum is likely to increase between 29°C and 30°C.
However, the weather forecaster added the port city may experience some drizzling today, as humidity in the air is 59%.
