Defence Minister Khawaja Asif became emotional while speaking about Gaza, warning that if Muslim and Arab countries remain complacent, they too could face the same fate that Palestinians are enduring today.
Speaking on a popular talk show, Asif said, “The sacrifices of the Palestinians of Gaza and their children will not go in vain. Allah’s help will come. I am confident that Muslim countries will ultimately come forward to support Gaza.”
He waned that if Muslim nations continue to silently watch the genocide in Gaza, they would eventually suffer the consequences. He pointed to Israel’s recent attack on Qatar as a reflection of this threat.
When asked by the host that the Muslim leadership remained silent despite Israel attacking multiple Muslim countries alongside Gaza, because of their dependence on the United States for security, Asif responded, “Pakistan defeated an enemy five times bigger. We never relied on the protection of America or anyone else, but on Allah.”

The minister further stated that Pakistan has not invested in Western financial systems in a way that could weaken its resolve to defend the country or take an independent stand.
Criticising Western powers, Asif said, “The politics of Western countries are hostage to Zionist influence.”
