KP CM Sohail Afridi declared that no negligence or delay would be tolerated in implementing KP’s good governance plan, stressing that public service delivery must match citizens’ expectations.

In a meeting to review departmental performance, the CM said all pending tasks should be completed effectively through innovative and results-oriented strategies, according to an official statement.

Furthermore, officials briefed the meeting on completed targets and ongoing initiatives under the reform framework. Afridi directed that all mid-term measures be finalized by June and instructed departments to begin preparations for the next fiscal year’s budget immediately.

Moreover, he said that weekly meetings should be held of Provincial Development Working Party to ensure timely approval and execution of development projects in pipeline.

The CM also stressed on upcoming spring tree plantation drive, the largest in the province’s history, calling for participation from government employees, students, and civil society, with special emphasis on planting fruit-bearing trees at public offices and residences.

The meeting reviewed a proposed Rs1 trillion “Roshan Qabail Package” for merged tribal districts. Afridi ordered officials to finalize the said package within the current month so development work could begin without delay.

In the health sector, he instructed authorities to expand services, including mammography facilities at district headquarters hospitals. 

He also directed restoration of non-functional tube wells to provide immediate public relief.

The CM emphasized that transparency, accountability, and effective governance remain his administration’s top priorities and urged departments to work collaboratively to achieve these goals.
