A professor at the University of Karachi was reportedly beaten by a Rangers official following a brief altercation over burning garbage in the Staff Colony.
The Karachi University Teachers Association (KUTS) strongly condemned the act of violence against Professor Afaq Ahmed, stating that the incident took place two days ago.
According to a statement issued by the association, the conflict began when a Rangers official set fire to garbage in the Staff Colony, allegedly to protect his animals from mosquitoes.
Professor Afaq Ahmed, a neighbor, objected to the burning due to health and safety concerns.
