A massive fire broke out in the cargo area of Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore on Wednesday, prompting an immediate emergency response by Rescue 1122.
The blaze, which erupted suddenly, caused panic in the area and triggered a swift mobilisation of firefighting teams to prevent a potentially major disaster.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, emergency teams were alerted as soon as the fire was reported. Eight rescue vehicles were dispatched to the scene, where personnel began firefighting efforts to bring the blaze under control.
Authorities confirmed that the situation is being continuously monitored. As of now, there are no confirmed reports of casualties or the extent of property damage.
However, officials remain on high alert to ensure the fire is fully contained and that no further risks develop.

“The operation is ongoing, and our teams are working diligently to control the flames and secure the area,” a spokesperson for Rescue 1122 stated.
Further updates are expected as the situation develops and investigations into the cause of the fire begin.
Earlier, on April 26, a fire was reported at the same airport, but the authorities firmly rejected these reports, terming them baseless, false, and misleading.
According to the statement, airport operations at Lahore are proceeding smoothly without any disruptions.
"There has been no incident of fire or any other unpleasant occurrence at the airport. All flights are operating as per schedule and passenger services remain unaffected," a spokesperson for the Pakistan Airports Authority said.
