MDCAT 2026: 138,000 students registered across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A total of 138,000 students from across Pakistan have registered for MDCAT 2026, which is being conducted for admissions to medical and dental colleges.
Candidates aspiring for medical education across Pakistan are now busy preparing for the entrance test.
MDCAT 2026 will be held simultaneously across the country on Sunday, August 16 at 10 am. Responsibilities for conducting the exam have been entrusted to the respective universities in different provinces and areas so that the test can be completed in a transparent and organized manner.
According to the details, the responsibility of conducting the MDCAT 2026 test in Punjab has been given to the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, while the Sukkur IBA University in Sindh, the Khyber Medical University in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, Quetta in Balochistan will handle the examination arrangements.
The responsibility of conducting the test in Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan has been given to the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad.
The same university has also been entrusted with the responsibility of arranging the examination center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), an additional MDCAT 2026 test center will also be established in Islamabad to facilitate students from Balochistan.
Bolan University of Medical Sciences will complete the arrangements for this additional center, from which candidates with Balochistan domicile will be able to benefit.
