A special public prosecutor in the Mustafa Amir murder case directed the police on Monday to investigate Armaghan's father, Kamran Qureshi, and check his criminal record.

The direction was shared in a guideline provided by the public prosecutor to the police to further investigate the case, which unveiled an extensive drug network in Karachi's Defense area.

Additionally, the guideline ordered the equipment recovered from Armaghan, including his laptop, armed weapons, and other items, to be sent for forensic examination immediately.

Notably, authorities recovered weapons, a digital safe locker, and two CNIC cards from Armaghan's house, which will be investigated under the guidelines.

The prosecutor instructed the concerned authorities to register cases against Armaghan after surveilling his activities before Mustafa's murder.

Moreover, the police were ordered to investigate Armaghan's potential involvement in activities such as links to banned organisations, money laundering, and other illicit practices.

The Special Public Prosecutor said details of the suspect's illegal activities should also be obtained from the area security chief and the landlord.

The guidelines further stated that information regarding the suspect's activities should be obtained from the local intelligence unit, Gizri and Darakhshan police stations, and details of telephone calls demanding ransom in connection with Mustafa Amir's kidnapping should be obtained.
