Nawaz Sharif hails PM Shehbaz, Asim Munir for 'restoring respect’ of Pakistan papsport

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the respect of Pakistan’s green passport is being restored due to the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the support of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and the historic role of Field Marshal Asim Munir.

A high-level meeting of the Gilgit-Baltistan parliamentary board was held under the chairmanship of Nawaz Sharif, attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar.

Addressing the meeting, Nawaz Sharif said no one understands Gilgit-Baltistan better than the Pakistan (PML-N), adding that the party has served the region.

He noted that a road project worth over Rs60 billion has reduced distances in Gilgit-Baltistan, and that development in the area is the right of its people.

He said the PML-N has played a full role across all sectors and fronts, highlighting progress in the federal government and Punjab, and urged other provinces to follow suit.

Criticising the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he questioned what has been achieved over the past 15 years, asking whether people are living in comfort.

He added that the ruling party in the province has failed to deliver welfare, and that residents are deprived of adequate healthcare facilities.

Nawaz Sharif further stated that Pakistan’s name has been elevated diplomatically, and that, for the first time since 1998, the country is once again regaining global respect due to the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif, the support of Ishaq Dar, and the role of Asim Munir.

He described their contributions as beneficial for the country, adding that Pakistan is gaining honour on the global stage.
