A Lahore court on Thursday extended the physical remand of YouTuber Saadur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, for another four days in a case linked to the promotion of illegal gambling applications on social media.
Ducky Bhai, who was arrested at Lahore airport on August 17, was produced before a judicial magistrate, where the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) sought more time for investigation.
The magistrate granted the agency’s request as the defence side opposed the remand plea.
The case, registered by the state through NCCIA Lahore, invokes sections 13 (Electronic Forgery), 14 (Electronic Fraud), 25 (Spamming) and 26 (Spoofing) of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, along with sections 294-B (Offering prize in connection with trade) and 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

According to the FIR, the case stems from a June 13 inquiry based on “reliable sources” indicating that certain YouTubers and influencers were promoting gambling and betting apps for monetary gain.
It alleged that the public, lured by these promotions, invested their savings in platforms such as Binomo, 1xBet, Bet365 and B9 Game, suffering financial losses as a result.
The YouTuber will remain in NCCIA custody until September 1, when the case is scheduled to be heard again.
