On the sixth anniversary of Operation Swift Retort, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a new patriotic anthem titled Dushmanna Sunn, reaffirming the unwavering commitment of the nation's brave defenders. The song pays tribute to February 27, 2019, a pivotal day in Pakistan’s history.

The military operation against Indian aggression became a landmark event, showcasing the professionalism of the armed forces and the resilience of the Pakistani people.

Written by Ahmed Azeem, the song is beautifully composed and sung by Kamranullah Khan. It highlights the dedication of Pakistan’s forces in safeguarding the homeland.

On February 27, 2019, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down two Indian fighter jets while thwarting a border violation. During the operation, Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was also captured. The day serves as a reminder that any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty will be met with a resolute response.

A day earlier, on February 26, India staged a so-called "surgical strike," a claim widely dismissed as propaganda.

The song, performed by Kamranullah Khan, vividly portrays the three branches of the military standing united in defense of the nation. It was released on the ISPR’s YouTube channel, where it garnered millions of views within hours.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, along with the service chiefs, commended the armed forces for their professionalism during this critical moment in history.

They reiterated their commitment to maintaining a strong defense, ensuring that any act of aggression is swiftly and effectively countered.

“With unwavering resolve, Pakistan’s armed forces stand ready to defend the motherland while actively contributing to regional and global peace initiatives, in line with Pakistan’s enduring pursuit of stability and harmony,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
