A fresh weather system accompanied by rain is expected to enter Punjab tonight, the Meteorological Department announced on Saturday. The weather system is likely to impact areas such as Rawalpindi, Sargodha, and Faisalabad tomorrow, with a possible decrease in temperatures in the province.

The weather system is expected to impact weather in different parts of the country until February 3. In Lahore, the minimum temperature is expected to be 9°C, with a maximum of 21°C.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that from February 1 to 2, cold weather will further intensify in most areas.

Rain is expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Qila Saifullah, Zhob, Noshki, and Chaman, while snowfall is expected in the surrounding mountainous regions. Severe cold and heavy snowfall are also expected in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The department has warned that snowfall may result in slippery roads and landslides in the hilly regions, advising people to take necessary precautions while traveling.

Cold weather may also lead to reduced visibility due to fog, causing the authorities to remain on high alert.
