The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) declared that Pakistan’s nuclear weapons are safe and secure and no “radiation” leaked during recent military conflict between Pakistan and India.

The statement came following Indian propaganda to create obstacle for Pakistan’s nuclear weapons. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that Pakistan threatened India with “nuclear blackmail.”

On Thursday, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that “the IAEA should take charge of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons.”

"Are nuclear weapons safe in the hands of such an irresponsible and rogue nation?" Singh said while addressing soldiers in Indian-administrative Kashmir's summer capital, Srinagar, adding, "I believe that Pakistan's nuclear weapons should be taken under the supervision of the IAEA."

However, the recent statement shared by the IAEA on Thursday declared Pakistan’s nuclear weapons safe and radiation-free, stating that Indian attacks did not damage Pakistan’s nuclear installations, nor was any “radiation” reported during the conflict.

An IAEA spokesperson said, “We are aware of the reports you are referring to. Based on information available to the IAEA, there has been no radiation leak or release from any nuclear facility in Pakistan.”

During the Pakistani army's Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, not only were the BrahMos missile bases in India were destroyed, but the S-400 missile defense system was also damaged.

Pakistan's J10 C aircrafts shot down six Indian fighters, including three Rafales, during India's Operation Sindoor, after which the Modi government faced international embarassment.

To divert public attention from its failures, the Modi government falsely claimed that Pakistan's nuclear facilities were damaged. However, after the IAEA's clarification, even this Indian claim was deflated.
