A 60-year-old woman, Irshad Bibi, died, and her three daughters were injured in an alleged incident of police violence during a late-night raid at a home in Dera Ameer Afzal on Toliki Road, under the jurisdiction of Saddar Kamoke Police Station.

The raid, led by ASI Rao Inamullah alongside six officers, was reportedly conducted without female police personnel.

According to the victim's husband, Arif, police forcibly entered their home around 11:30 pm, assaulted the women, and took valuables, including an Umrah ticket, Rs90,000 in cash, and a motorbike.

Arif claimed the raid was unlawful as the family had secured interim bail in a domestic dispute.

During the raid, Irshad Bibi collapsed after allegedly being punched on the chest by ASI Rao Inam, which led to her death.

Meanwhile, her daughters, Zainab, Misbah, and Urooj, were reportedly beaten and dragged by their hair when they tried to intervene. Irshad Bibi was taken to a hospital by neighbours, where she later died.

Following media coverage, CPO Rana Ayaz Saleem ordered an inquiry, assigning SSP Operations Rizwan Tariq to lead the investigation. Initial findings confirmed that ASI Rao Inam conducted the raid without SHO authorisation and held him primarily responsible.
