Several senior leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including Omar Ayub Khan, Raja Basharat, Ahmed Chattha, and Azim-ud-Din, were arrested by police in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
According to PTI lawyer Rana Mudassar, Ayub and Basharat were apprehended by police at a check post near Adiala Jail. Mudassar stated that the reasons for the arrests of the PTI leaders remain unclear, and the specific charges have not been disclosed by the authorities.
The arrests come amid ongoing legal and political developments surrounding PTI leaders, with the party facing numerous legal challenges following the May 9 protests.
