Embracing the spirit of giving on Eid-ul-Adha, Sindh will distribute free sacrificial goats to orphaned children and their guardians who have recently been victims of mugging.
Governor Sindh, Kamran Tessori, announced a heartwarming initiative for orphaned children and their caregivers facing financial hardship due to recent robbery incidents in Karachi.
He visited the head office of the welfare organisation at Sohrab Goth and announced the donation of two camels for their collective sacrifice.
While addressing the media, Kamran Tessori stated that the distribution of goats will begin three days before Eid.
He also mentioned that camels will be sacrificed over the three days of Eid at the Governor House and the meat will be distributed to deserving individuals and orphans.
Pakistan's Meteorological Department has forecast the first day of Eid-ul-Adha to be on Monday (June 17).
The official Eid al-Adha holidays will be confirmed by the government following the sighting of the crescent moon for Zil Hajj.
Eid al-Adha is one of the two blessed Eids that Muslims celebrate each Islamic year. It marks the culmination of the Hajj rites at Mina, Saudi Arabia, and commemorates the Prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God's command.
