Pakistan Army makes nation proud after winning gold medal in UK

The Pakistan Army team has made the nation proud by securing a gold medal at the Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2024, held in Wales, UK, the military's media wing said on Monday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the remarkable achievement came amidst stiff competition from 128 teams representing 42 countries between October 4 to 13.
The 65th Exercise Cambrian Patrol, organised by the British Army, is renowned for its challenging and rigorous standards.
Participants were required to cover 60 kilometres distance within 48 hours, undertaking specific tasks that tested their physical and mental endurance.
"The exercise has retained its demanding professional standards; patrols all across from the globe had to move tactically across inhospitable terrain, covering a distance of 60 kms within 48 hours, completing specialist tasks in a contested environment," the ISPR said in a statement.
The Pakistan Army team's outstanding performance demonstrates their exceptional skill, teamwork, and dedication.
The accomplishment not only brings honour to the Pakistan Army but also underscores the country's commitment to military excellence.
"It is indeed a proud moment for the whole Nation and Pakistan Army, which is known for its professionalism and highest standards of training.
"Pakistan Army has always held [the] Country's flag high, Alhamdulillah."
Exercise Cambrian Patrol is a premier international military exercise that evaluates participants' leadership, self-discipline, courage, and determination.
The event has been held annually since 1959 and has become a benchmark for military proficiency.
