"Pakistan is destined to achieve its rightful position in the comity of nations," says COAS Asim

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has inaugurated the Innovista Indus IT Park in Karachi, marking a major milestone in the country's quest to harness the potential of its youth in the tech sector, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

According to ISPR, the IT park aims to foster collaboration between academia and industry, particularly in artificial intelligence.

The ceremony was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and prominent community members. 

The top armyman highlighted the significance of IT in unlocking Pakistan's potential.

"This project will provide a conducive environment for the growth of the IT industry, which is already accelerating at a respectable pace," Gen Asim said.

CM Murad echoed the sentiment, stressing the importance of IT for economic growth and youth development.

The COAS also interacted with Karachi's business community, praising their contributions to Pakistan's economic growth.

"We must appreciate the role of entrepreneurs and the business community in driving economic growth," the army's head said.

Participants expressed confidence in the Strategic Investment Framework Council (SIFC) and its role in achieving positive economic indicators. 

General Munir commended the efforts of federal and provincial governments, saying, "Collective efforts have defeated those who sought to create despair and despondency in society."

The COAS also acknowledged the support of China, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE in Pakistan's economic recovery.

"Pakistan has remarkable potential in various domains, and we must have trust and confidence in its bright future.

"Given the immense resources and potential, Pakistan is destined to achieve its rightful position in the comity of nations, Insha Allah."
