Pakistan and the Kashmiri people worldwide are observing Black Day today to mark 77 years of Indian occupation in Jammu and Kashmir, vowing continued resistance against oppression and solidarity with the victims of decades-long conflict.

On this occasion, protest rallies, solidarity walks, seminars, and photo exhibitions have been organized to express support for the Kashmiri people and condemn Indian atrocities.

A central solidarity march was held from the Foreign Office to D-Chowk in Islamabad, with participation from government officials, students, civil society members, and citizens.

Banners and posters reading “Kashmir banega Pakistan” have been displayed along Constitution Avenue, Parliament House, and D-Chowk.

The federal government launched a special campaign to highlight India's human rights violations in occupied Kashmir before the international community, with coordination from the Ministry of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, PTA, and Islamabad Police.

Similar rallies are taking place in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, and Gilgit. A minute’s silence was observed at 10 am in memory of Kashmiri martyrs.

Speakers at various events urged the international community to take notice of the grave human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and support the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
