The chances of changes to Pakistan’s playing XI for the high-stakes match against India appear to be minimal.
Citing sources, media reports said that most members of the team management and selection committee are not in favour of making changes to the playing eleven.
Shaheen Shah Afridi, Usman Khan and Mohammad Nawaz are likely to retain their places, as the management is keen not to disrupt a winning combination.
The final decision on the playing XI will be taken after assessing the pitch. It is worth noting that Pakistan and India will face each other today in one of the most crucial matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The toss is scheduled for 6:00pm, with the match set to begin at 6:30pm (Pakistan time).
In this high-octane ICC T20 World Cup encounter, Pakistan and India will go head-to-head today. Pakistan are determined to secure a victory over their traditional rivals, while India are equally eager to emerge on top.
However, the outcome will be decided on the field today, although the Meteorological Department has also forecast the possibility of rain.
