A pet lion escaped from a farmhouse in Lahore’s Johar Town and attacked a woman and two children, leaving all three injured.
According to police, the incident occurred after the lion’s cage at the private farmhouse was left open. CCTV footage showed the lion leaping over the boundary wall and onto the street, where it mauled a woman walking nearby.
A man, reportedly from the farmhouse, was seen in the footage chasing the lion in an attempt to intervene. However, after attacking the woman, the lion continued forward and injured two children.
Police identified the farmhouse owners as brothers Malik Azam, also known as Shani, and Malik Nazim.
