Petrol price jumps to Rs265.45, diesel to Rs278.44 after latest revision

The Ministry of Finance has announced a new revision in petroleum prices across the country, while the cost of LPG has seen a decline.
According to the latest notification, petrol will now be sold at Rs265.45 per litre following an increase of Rs2.43. The rate of high-speed diesel has also been raised by Rs3.20 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs278.44.
Sources within the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) reported that the price of kerosene has climbed by Rs3.34 per litre, with the updated rate set at Rs185.50.
However, in contrast to the overall upward trend, the price of LPG has dropped by Rs5.88 per kilogram, reducing its cost to Rs201.60 per kg, as per OGRA’s latest adjustment.
These revised fuel prices have come into effect nationwide, reflecting recent movements in global energy markets.
