PM Shehbaz, Saudi Crown Prince discuss regional stability in telephone call

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during which he conveyed his best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, and emphasised the importance of diplomacy in maintaining regional peace and stability.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the telephone call took place on Wednesday and included discussions on bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The conversation was described as warm and cordial. During the call, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his respect and goodwill for Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Prime Minister thanked the Crown Prince for his affection, sincerity and continued goodwill towards Pakistan.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the long-standing and brotherly ties between the two countries, which have reached new heights in recent months.

The two leaders also exchanged views on the regional situation and ongoing developments. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stressed the need for unity and harmony within the Muslim Ummah in the face of various challenges.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential to ensuring regional peace and stability.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thanked the Prime Minister for the call and reiterated the Kingdom’s desire to further enhance cooperation with Pakistan across all areas of mutual interest.

He also expressed his wish to undertake an official visit to Pakistan next year.
