PMD predicts drizzle, stronger winds in Karachi today

Islamabad: A fresh westerly system of weather will approach western parts of Pakistan on Tuesday, which after extending in the upper parts of country from Wednesday, may influence during the week as well.
A Meteorological department of Pakistan Meteorology Department PMD said here on Sunday that the weather will make its effects to at least four places of Khyber Pakhtun khwa and Gilgit Baltistan regions during the week.
Met Office said the system was likely to cause light rain/thundrain/drizzle in Karachi with strong wind. The weather in the port city may partially remain cloudy with possibilities of isolated drizzle at some places.
Light rain and drizzle are also expected to occur in various other costal areas of Sindh, including Badin and Thatta, according to the PMD.
Met department has predicted rain, wind and thunderstorms, along with snowfall over hilly areas, throughout Balochistan and upper parts of the country from February 8 night to February 10 as the westerly wave moves northward, while the rain with gusty winds and thunderstorms is also expected in the parts of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Widespread rain/thunderstorms with snow over the hills is expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Chaghi, Noshki, Harnai, Zhob and others.
