Asif Ali Zardari has reportedly directed the Sindh government to show measurable improvement in Karachi’s civic conditions within three months, according to sources familiar with internal discussions.

The development was shared by senior anchor Muhammad Malick during his programme Khabar Muhammad Malick Kay Saath on ARY News.

Sources said President Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have been in Karachi for several days, holding internal meetings to review governance and development issues in the city.

During these discussions, the president reportedly questioned the Sindh leadership about obstacles related to funding and administrative authority that have hindered progress on key projects.

The president is said to have expressed concern over growing criticism in mainstream and social media, particularly comparisons between Karachi and other major cities such as Lahore.

He reportedly asked the provincial leadership to ensure visible progress within three months and reduce public complaints about infrastructure and municipal services.

According to sources, Zardari also voiced displeasure over delays in infrastructure projects.

He is reported to have advised Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab to consult Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi regarding the timely completion of underpasses, suggesting that such projects could be completed within 60 days
