A video of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-backed candidate Khurram Sher Zaman taking oath on the Holy Quran to remain loyal to party founder Imran Khan has gone viral on social media.
In the video, the PTI leader, who is contesting the February 8 polls from NA 241, reaffirmed his allegiance to the party, stating, “Upon being elected as an MNA, I will remain loyal to Imran Khan and PTI."
“I will not let down the feelings of my constituency’s people,” he continued.
The electoral symbol of Khurram Sher Zaman is the 'drum.'
He further said that he would not fall to any temptations or threats and remain steadfast in their commitment to the party.
Meanwhile, the PPP has managed to sway independent candidates from the PTI in Sindh's Larkana and TandoJam towards their party.
Now, their efforts extend to Punjab and KhyberPakhtunkhwa, where they are attempting to persuade PTI candidates to leave Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party and join the PPP.
Earlier, Salman Akram Raja also took oath on the Holy Quran to remain loyal to party founder Imran Khan has gone viral on social media.
Salman asserted "I cannot even imagine that I would betray PTI or the founder of PTI."
He further clarified the speculations about PTI candidates switching to other parties after winning are baseless and incorrect and also urged all candidates to take a similar oath on the Holy Quran to emphasize their loyalty to the party's founder and PTI.
