Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that he visits the site every Tuesday, but regrettably, permission for a meeting is not granted.

He added that he is forced to plead for a meeting in order to bring about change, stressing that with 2025 now over, the situation should have improved.

Speaking to the media at the Dahgal checkpoint on Adiala Road, Rawalpindi, the PTI chairman said that while the party’s protest movement continues in its own place, negotiations are also essential.

However, he noted that dialogue is not taking place in line with the demands of the current situation.

Barrister Gohar appealed to those in power to show magnanimity by considering the nature of the circumstances and urged them to show compassion for the children of the nation.

He said that the system has effectively come to a halt for them, adding that if it had not, they would not be standing there on a daily basis.

He pointed out that court orders are being issued under standard operating procedures and called for a workable solution to improve the situation.

The PTI chairman further stated that during the year, both the party’s founding chairman and Bushra Bibi were handed down sentences.

He remarked that while a ceasefire was achieved with an external enemy in 2025, internal political tensions remained unresolved.

Barrister Gohar expressed regret that the country is now entering 2026, warning that it appears the coming year may also be marked by further sentences.
