PTI leader Alamgir Khan arrested from Karachi

In a surprise move, Karachi police arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Alamgir Khan in a dawn raid at his residence in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7.

According to media reports, a team of 10-12 male police officers and female personnel participated in the operation.

Alamgir Khan's spokesperson revealed that the PTI leader had arrived in Karachi just this morning.

Yesterday, the Sindh High Court's Election Tribunal had rejected Alamgir Khan's election petition against alleged rigging in NA-236.

The tribunal had declared Khan's petition inadmissible.

The arrest comes amidst a backdrop of rising tensions between the PTI and the government. Alamgir Khan's arrest is likely to escalate the situation, with PTI supporters likely to protest against the move.
