PTI Senator Faisal Javed was stopped at Peshawar Airport on Wednesday while attempting to board a flight to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, despite securing travel permission from the Lahore High Court (LHC).
According to reports, Javed had booked a flight to Saudi Arabia but was denied boarding by immigration authorities. He was allegedly removed from the aircraft moments before departure.
Speaking to the media, the PTI senator revealed that the LHC had ordered the removal of his name from the Pakistan Exit Control List (PNIL), allowing him to proceed with his Umrah pilgrimage. However, he claimed that officials from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) disregarded the court's directive and prevented him from traveling.
"I was scheduled to depart at 3:00 PM today, but immigration authorities stopped me. Despite showing them the court order, they refused to comply. The FIA officials ignored the judiciary’s decision," Javed stated.
