Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced plans to disrupt the attendance of former Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa at a London event where he is invited as a special guest, accusing him of depriving the party of its political rights.
In an interview with Dawn, PTI's UK-based leader Sayed Zulfikar Bukhari criticised ex-CJP Isa and revealed that party workers would stage a demonstration during his appearance at the Middle Temple event.
“Naturally, overseas Pakistanis are going to protest. Faez Isa has left a disastrous legacy and has harmed the judicial system in Pakistan,” Bukhari told Dawn.
“He has a long record of depriving us of our symbol and reserved seats and allowing courts to open certain constituencies for recounting. He is a disgraced figure and should not be speaking at any prestigious platform,” he added.

I will be joining my colleagues tomorrow to peacefully protest against Qazi Faiz Isa representing justice and judiciary when he has trampled it in our own country. Men like him must be accountable for their atrocities they have committed to their profession.

Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, who retired on October 25, arrived in London at the invitation of the Inn’s Court to attend a ceremony that welcomes students to the Bar.
The former judge will be among those calling the students to the Bar after a dinner with Benchers and members of the Inn on Tuesday.
Faez Isa, who received his law degree from the Middle Temple, comes from a family associated with the prestigious institution, as his father was also an alumnus.
