Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters stormed and confronted former Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa's vehicle as he arrived at Middle Temple in London to attend a ceremony.
Chief Justice Isa is the first Pakistani to be elected as a Bencher at Middle Temple, an esteemed legal institution in the United Kingdom (UK).
The PTI UK chapter had planned to disrupt his attendance at the event, with several supporters waiting for his arrival to confront him and protest against his rulings, which they believe deprived the party of its political rights.
Videos circulating on social media show PTI follower Shayan Khan with other supporters jeering and striking at the vehicle in which ex-CJP Isa was traveling.

Earlier, PTI's UK-based leader Sayed Zulfikar Bukhari told Dawn, “Naturally, overseas Pakistanis are going to protest. Faez Isa has left a disastrous legacy and has harmed the judicial system in Pakistan.”
“He has a long record of depriving us of our symbol and reserved seats and allowing courts to open certain constituencies for recounting. He is a disgraced figure and should not be speaking at any prestigious platform,” he added.
Zulfi Bukhari also thanked several UK parliamentarians for signing the document that expresses concerns over the incarceration of the former prime minister.
Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, who retired on October 25, arrived in London at the invitation of the Inn’s Court to attend a ceremony that welcomes students to the Bar.
The former judge was among those calling the students to the Bar after a dinner with Benchers and members of the Inn on Tuesday.
Faez Isa, who received his law degree from the Middle Temple, comes from a family associated with the prestigious institution, as his father was also an alumnus.
