Karachi is expected to receive two to three spells of light rain starting mid-July, while scattered showers are also likely in other parts of Sindh as citizens eagerly await relief from the summer heat.
Speaking to a private news channel, meteorologist Anjum Nazir stated that light rain is likely in Karachi between July 9 and 11.
According to Nazir, monsoon activity is currently concentrated in the upper regions of the country. Heavy rainfall is expected in northeastern Punjab, while Cherat received 92 mm of rain in the past 24 hours. He clarified that no cloudburst events have been reported in any part of the country so far.
Nazir added that partly cloudy and humid conditions are expected to persist in Karachi, with monsoon winds entering southeastern regions of Pakistan. There is also a chance of drizzle and light rain in the port city during this period.
