Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah Khan, has stated that the government is open to dialogue with PTI if they wish to engage in political discussions.
Speaking on Geo News’ program Jirga, Rana Sanaullah said the importance of addressing allegations and maintaining transparency.
Rana Sanaullah clarified that the government has not closed the door on negotiations.
He invited PTI to engage in meaningful political discussions but criticized their conditional approach to talks.
Commenting on PTI members in custody, he stated that their release would be determined by the courts. He also questioned the claims of 278 alleged deaths during protests, asking for clarification on these allegations.
He dismissed the possibility of a successful civil disobedience movement by PTI, predicting its failure.
Rana Sanaullah alleged that during the protests, Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur abandoned their supporters and fled Islamabad around 10:30 PM.
The government and PTI have been at loggerheads over political issues, with tensions escalating due to protests and legal battles.
Rana Sanaullah’s remarks reflect the government’s stance on maintaining order while keeping the option for political dialogue open, provided it is constructive and not based on conditions.
