Senate to table 27th Constitutional Amendment Bill on November 7

The Senate’s Business Advisory Committee on Monday decided that the 27th Constitutional Amendment Bill will be presented in the Upper House on November 7, according to sources.

The bill, aimed at introducing key constitutional changes, is expected to be tabled during the upcoming Senate session for debate and review. Sources said the Senate and National Assembly’s standing committees concerned will examine the draft before it is taken up for final approval.

According to parliamentary insiders, the 27th Constitutional Amendment Bill is likely to be passed next week after necessary deliberations in both Houses of Parliament.

The Business Advisory Committee meeting, chaired by Senate officials, discussed the agenda for the upcoming session, including the legislative business scheduled for the first half of November.
