At least seven Pakistani security personnel were martyred on Tuesday in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in the Mach area of Balochistan’s Kachhi district, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR said the IED targeted a security forces’ vehicle and was carried out by militants linked to the India-backed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
The attack comes in the wake of heightened regional tensions, following a deadly assault in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s (IIOJK) Pahalgam area, which killed 26 people.

In its statement, the ISPR emphasized that a clearance operation is underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the region. It condemned the incident as a “heinous act” and vowed that those responsible would be brought to justice.
